Ashta Lakshmi , also spelled as Ashtalakshmi “eight Lakshmis”), are a group of eight Hindu goddesses secondary manifestations of Shri-Lakshmi the Hindu goddess of wealth, who preside over eight sources of wealth:”Wealth” in the context of Ashta-Lakshmi means prosperity, good health, knowledge, strength, progeny, and power. Laxmi is the Goddess of wealth and prosperity, both material and spiritual. The word ”Laxmi” means “goal.” Therefore, Laxmi represents the goal of life, which includes worldly as well as spiritual prosperity. In Hindu mythology, Goddess Laxmi, also called Shri, is the consort of Lord Vishnu and the Goddess of wealth and fortune.
